Street Feast!!

The very first Canada Day, “Street Feast” on Simcoe Street, was an amazingly successful tribute to the community organisations, community members, local business and The Town of Collingwood who worked seamlessly to make this a very special one day event!

Thank you to all volunteers who showed up with smiling faces to help out with serving food, washing dishes, the set-up and take-down of the whole event. You make our community awesome!

A big thank you also goes out to all our suppliers and producers who contributed and donated food for the event and to the local chefs who prepared a fabulous meal. Men with Knives Catering, your menu was thoroughly enjoyed!

Celebrate Canada Day as Collingwood’s Simcoe Street transforms into a pedestrian-only celebration of local food and art.  Starting at 11am, come shop the vintage market and artisan tents while the kids enjoy fun arts & crafts activities, games and live performances. Cardboardia castle-building starts at 3pm before the two sittings of the community Farm to Table Street Feast at 5pm and 7:30pm!!

This outdoor family-style eating experience enjoyed all together at one long table goes back to the original roots of good food….fresh, seasonal ingredients prepared by local chefs in the company of friends and family.

The menu is created and prepared, unless otherwise indicated,

by Men With Knives Catering

A family movie will be shown in the Simcoe Street Theatre at 6pm between meals.

Proceeds go to raising funds for a youth food & gardening program together with the Collingwood Library.

We look forward to sharing in a great day celebrating Canada with local artists, local food, local chefs and musical talents!
